I’m Tara, a social researcher, poet, and digital print-maker based in Aotearoa New Zealand.

I created One River Studio as a quiet space for design inspired by nature — especially the shifting flow of rivers and flora.

My work is shaped by my academic projects and lived experience, including life with early-onset Parkinson’s. Creating art is a way for me to stay connected — to nature, to myself, and to others. It’s a gentle, steady practice that brings me back to what matters.

I find great joy in research, writing, and design, and I hope you find something here that brings a sense of calm, connection, or quiet joy.
